Nigeria @ 64- Actualizing the Nigeria of our dreams through Community engagement.

According to Abdul Rasheed a member of our citizen’s assembly FCT- The Nigeria of my dream is a nation where the last man in a village will feel the existence of governments, a country where governments place citizens’ welfare higher, a country where there will be good schools and quality education, where citizens will have access to improved healthcare at all times, where bulbs in our homes will never go dark, where one will not have to suffer to access clean and drinkable water, where news of deaths in the auto crash will not be due to dilapidated roads.

How our community engagement through citizen assembly is fulfilling their dream ‘Her community engagement initiatives, especially through the Citizens Assembly North Central Nigeria, are pivotal. With over 500 grassroots advocates actively championing the needs of their communities, this platform creates a direct link between the government and the people, ensuring that the most pressing issues of citizens are addressed. As a young leader passionate about community development, her initiatives provide the perfect platform to amplify my voice. Through her work, I see my vision for Nigeria becoming a reality. The inclusion of community voices in governance aligns with my commitment to empowering the youth, educating citizens, and promoting environmental sustainability.

“Community Engagement is a remarkable force in actualizing these dreams because it encourages citizens to be actively involved in shaping their own future and that of the country. “Citizen Assembly” provides the platform for the inclusion of community voices in governance, more like a direct link between the government and the people which ensures that all pressing matters are addressed. The Initiative has also created spaces for meaningful Discussions, collective ideas, and prompt action. The initiative brings people together irrespective of age, ethnicity, or religion, fostering a sense of belonging, responsibility, and shared purpose. Thank you Mr President for creating the office of community engagement
